This year promises to be filled with exciting opportunities at Sunrise Community Farm! We have a variety of programs and events planned for all ages:
For the Kids:
Upcoming Camps:Â Look forward to fun-filled minicamps and summer camps with horseback riding, farm activities, nature exploration, and more!
Storytime with Animals:Â Join us for a delightful experience where children aged 18 months to 5 years can enjoy stories, songs, and meet some of our friendly farm animals. Our next session is Thursday January 16 10:00-11:30 am
For All Ages:
Horseback Riding Lessons:Â Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, we offer lessons for both children and adults.
Wine & Ride: Adults aged 21 and over with a passion for horses can partake in a distinctive event that blends socializing with fellow horse enthusiasts (wine is optional) and a horseback ride. Join us on Tuesday, January 14, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
Music Nights:Â Prepare for live music shows and a vibrant ambiance. Keep an eye out for a Barn Dance in February!
Community Potluck Dinners:Â Come together for tasty dishes and engaging discussions with other community members. Watch for future dates!
New Classes:Â We will be introducing more classes for both children and adults throughout the year, so stay tuned for exciting announcements!

Trailblazers (Ages 8-12):Â Set off on thrilling adventures featuring hiking, horsemanship, gardening, farm-to-table activities, creative arts, and more!
Horse Immersion Camp (Ages 8-16):
This camp is designed for accomplished riders who are looking to advance their skills and learn more about horses.
Application & Assessment Required:Â Applicants must demonstrate a certain level of horsemanship through an assessment with one of our experienced instructors.
Pony Camp (Coming Soon):
Perfect for less experienced horse enthusiasts, Pony Camp will be offered on select weeks. Stay tuned for dates and registration information.
Junior Mentor Program:
Teen Leadership Opportunities:Â Our Junior Mentor program provides teenagers with valuable leadership and life skills.
Apprenticeship Experience:Â Junior Mentors work alongside experienced camp counselors, assisting with camp activities, farm care, and maintenance.
Application & Training:Â To become a Junior Mentor, teens must apply and complete a training program.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team for the upcoming summer season!
Summer Camp Positions:
Camp Mentors (Counselors):Â We are looking for responsible and energetic individuals to guide and supervise campers in a fun and safe environment.
Assistant Mentors:Â For individuals interested in further developing their leadership abilities by supporting seasoned mentors with campers and camp activities.
We welcome volunteers who are passionate about interacting with animals, plants, and people, enjoy working in a team, and love spending time outdoors.
Community Education Instructors:
We are also expanding our community education offerings and are seeking talented individuals to teach a variety of classes for both children and adults.
Possible Class Ideas:
Music:Â (guitar, piano, singing, etc.)
Arts & Crafts:Â (knitting, sewing, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry making, etc.)
Dance and Movement:Â (creative movement, folk dance, yoga etc.)
Gardening:Â (vegetable gardening, flower arranging, etc.)
Environmental Education:Â instructional discussions or practical learning experiences (such as recycling, composting, sustainable farming, homesteading skills, etc.)
