School closed? Adventure awaits!
Our mini camps immerse children in Kindergarten through 8th grade in hands-on farm adventures with animals, nature, crafts, ziplines, and gardening. Guided by caring mentors, campers build confidence, overcome fears, and learn by doing every step of the way.
Junior Mentors (application and approval process required) are also welcomed and may sign up on our JM signup page! (The sign up link will be provided when a camper achieves Junior Mentor status).
Horsemanship Opportunities
Everyone at mini camp has the opportunity to ride a horse. Our horse riding is great for beginners and experienced riders. The foundation of our riding program is called the CRAFTS of Partnership: Communication, Respect, Acknowledgement, Friendship, Trust & Setting Good Boundaries. For a small fee you can sign up to be a Horse Immersion camper and can spend your First and Second class sessions in horse-related activities for more experienced riders, including a morning horse lesson (see schedules and pricing below).
Please note:
Horse Immersion Camp requires campers to be at least 8 years old, able to independently ride at a trot in a group, and be approved by one of our instructors.
Pony Immersion Camp is designed for younger campers (ages 6+) and beginner or less experienced riders.

Schedule and Dates
Mini camps are offered weekdays whenever CHCCS, Orange County or DPS year-round schools are out (except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years).
Dates for 2026
September:
7,14-18, 21-25, 28-30
October:
1, 2, 5-9, 23, 30
November:
2, 3, 11, 23-27 (no camp on Thanksgiving day)
December:
21-24 (no Xmas day), 28-31 (no New Years Day)

Early care: 7:30-8:30
Drop off: 8:30-9:00
1st class: 9:00-10:30
Snack: 10:30-10:45
2nd class: 10:45-12:15
Lunch: 12:15-1:00
3rd Class: 1:00-2:30
Acknowledgements: 2:45-3:00
Pick up: 3:00-3:30
After care: 3:30-6:00

Farm Camp: $60.00
Horse Immersion: $75.00

Discounts are available for registering for multiple camp days in one registration as follows:
10 Days of Mini Camp - 5% discount to all registrations
20 Days of Mini Camp - 10% discount to all registrations
30 Days of Mini Camp - 15% discount to all registrations
We want every child to have the opportunity to experience all that Sunrise CFC has to offer. We offer need-based scholarships. Please note that the scholarships are for ONE WEEK (not for multiple weeks) of Mini Camp.
