Our Mission for a Community Farm
At Sunrise Community Farm Center, our mission is to create a sustainable model of a community farm inclusive of all ages. Ideally, everyone is able to discover their contribution as part of a community. Everyone in the community is appreciated. We all see the value of being a part of something bigger than ourselves that is real and relevant to the world we live in today.
Vision
In the United States until the early 20th century, a "Family Farm" was able to support a community of many large families. By following this model, we are able to provide a resource center for individuals of all ages to work, play, nurture, and learn together through the shared experience of having a connection to a sustainable community, animals, Earth, each other, and themselves. All members of the community practice individual responsibility, teamwork, partnership, communication, trust, and setting good boundaries here at the community farm. These are life skills we believe are necessary to navigate the world in which we live today.

The community resource model we are providing is able to offer diverse experiences for everyone of any age. Individuals can explore what a sustainable community can be and find what is inspiring to them. At our community farm, everyone can experience what kind of world we can leave to future generations.
