Q: How do I book a Birthday Party?
A: Call the office at 919.968.8581 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll check your date. After your date is confirmed, sign up online.
Q: What if there’s bad weather?
A: The Farm works in all weather conditions. We have an indoor arena for horse rides and indoor areas for gift exchange, food, etc. We encourage you and your guests to dress for the elements. The animals are weatherproof and so are you!
Q: What if I have to cancel?
A: While Your $50 deposit is non-refundable, we encourage you to re-schedule your date at no additional fee.
Q: Does Spence’s Farm provide food?
A: While we do not provide food or drink, we do have a refrigerator and stove/oven for use.
Q: What should I expect to do at the Birthday Party?
A: We start our parties with a brief talk about “what is a family farm?” and “what can kids do on a farm?”. After that we head into the garden where we talk about the plants, and feeding your body good food, we will pick both people food (if in season) and animal food (weeding). Then we will take the animal food to the chickens. At the chicken coop we will teach about the chickens and how they help us and how we help them. The children will learn how to feed a chicken out of their hands, and if there are any eggs to be collected, they can give it a shot! Then we will go to the horse barn, where we will teach about the horses, the children will get a chance to groom the horses and every child will get to ride a horse or pony!
Our portion of the party is roughly an hour and a half, leaving you 30 minutes to enjoy cake, presents, games. You are more than welcome to stay on the farm with your group, though you will need to remove your party from the covered pavilion for the next party.
